A Vicksburg woman was released from the Warren County Jail Tuesday after being arrested earlier in the day and charged with assault on her boyfriend.

Jassmine D. Brown, 22, 90 Pinehaven Lane, was arrested by Vicksburg police at 1:34 p.m. and charged with domestic violence aggravated assault, said Susan Ebeling, crime analyst with the Vicksburg Police Department.

Brown is accused of hitting her boyfriend in the eye with an object, Ebeling said.

The victim was taken to River Region Medical Center, where he was treated and released, hospital spokesman Allen Karel said.

Brown was released on a $10,000 bond.
