Services for John Wesley Hunter Sr. will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church with the Rev. P.J. Curley officiating. Burial, directed by W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home, will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. A rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Mr. Hunter died Tuesday, May 3, 2011. He was 70.

He was a retired detective of the Los Angeles Police Department and a U.S. Navy veteran who had served in Vietnam. He was a member of American Legion Tyner-Ford Post No. 213, the Knights of Peter of Los Angeles and St. Michael Catholic Church.
