Ms. Josie Lee Braboy, age 88, died peacefully at home in Pearland, Texas, on Saturday, May 14, 2011.

She was born Dec. 21, 1922, in Port Gibson to Clarance and Kizziah Simms (deceased).

Josie was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Frank James Braboy, and her beloved son, Charles Wendell Hamberlin Sr.

Survivors include her grandson, Charles and Kymberliee Wendell Hamberlin Jr.; nephew, Louis Manadier III; sister, Willmetta Nickerson; grandchildren, Angel Perkins, Sean Hamberlin, Donna Brown, Yolanda Butler; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home on Friday, May 20, 2011, at 10 a.m. with the services immediately following at 1 p.m.
