Mozella Bishop Flaggs

Mrs. Mozella Bishop Flaggs was born May 20, 1930. She was a member of Mount Heroden M.B. Church, Vicksburg, where the Rev. L.A. Hall Sr. is pastor. She died Friday, May 13, 2011.

Mrs. Flaggs was preceded in death by her husband, George Flaggs Sr.; and son, Johnnie E. Flaggs.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty Flaggs Neal of Vicksburg and Brenda Flaggs Russaw (Ralph) of Atlanta, Ga.; sons, Ernest Bishop (Pearl) of Arlington, Texas, and George Flaggs Jr., Reginald Flaggs and Darrell Flaggs (Jeanette), all of Vicksburg; daughter-in-law, Vivian Flaggs; sisters, Daisy Bishop of Edwards, Beatrice Allen and Gladys Rayford, both of Chicago, Dorothy Burkes (Wiley) of Harvey, Ill., and Virginia Smith of Bogue Chitto, La.; brothers, Chester Bishop (Louise) and Ulysses Wright (Margaret), all of Saginaw, Mich., U.L. Wright (Virginia) of Jackson and A.C. McKenzie of Edwards; sisters-in-law, Emma McKenzie of Mansfield, Texas, and Lois Flagg of Edwards; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends, including Euphytee Williams and members of the Richards, Funches and Williams families.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Mount Heroden Baptist Church with the Rev. L.A. Hall Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon until 6 p.m. Saturday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with a family hour from 5 until 6 p.m.
