GRACE — Brian Keith Fortner died May 21, 2011, at the VA Hospital in Jackson at the age of 47. Visitation will be Monday night, May 23, 2011, from 5 until 7 at Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home with the burial at Greenfield Cemetery in Glen Allen.

Keith was born to Warren C. Fortner Jr. and Erline Delaney Fortner on July 25, 1963.

Keith grew up in Saudi Arabia returning to the United States in 1974 and graduating with the 1981 class at Sharkey-Issaquena Academy. In 1983 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving proudly until 1988 on the USS Ainsworth, receiving the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, the Navy Expeditionary Medal and the Meritorious Unit Commendation, among others. The last 20 years of his life he was employed in the gaming industry.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Fortner; stepchildren, Kimberly Sprouse, Melissa Necaise (Roy), Juanita Bennett (Phillip), Roger Sprouse II (Dawn); one brother, Jeffery Steven Fortner (Jessie) of Colorado; his mother, Erline Delaney Fortner of Grace.

He was preceded in death by his father, Warren C. Fortner Jr.
