The engagement of Heather Maree Murray to Thomas Lucas “Luke” Harris, both of Germantown, Tenn., is announced today. Vows will be exchanged June 11, 2011, at Independent Presbyterian Church in Memphis. A reception will follow at the Memphis WaterWorks.

Miss Murray is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nadeem Khan of Germantown and Mr. and Mrs. James Murray of Gautier. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Lawrence Murray and the late Mr. Murray of Hendersonville, Tenn.

Mr. Harris is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Presley Harris of Germantown. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas B. Harris and the late Mr. and Mrs. Billy Joe Gunn, all of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Germantown High School. She received a degree from the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority.

Miss Murray is a teacher with Desoto County Schools.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Briarcrest Christian High School. He received a degree from the University of Mississippi, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta.

Mr. Harris is a commercial lender with Citizens National Bank in Southaven.
