Give Reul a chance

Soon we will be going to the polls, hopefully to put new people in just about every office in both city and county. Very few of our city and county public servants deserve to be allowed to remain in office.

Next thing is, electing family members or someone who has been an assistant in some office for a number of years, is the same as re-electing the one you are trying to get rid of. Anyone who has been in an office for years will give us only business as usual. That we do not need. We need new people who are not tainted by over-exposure to the junk that has been going on for years.

The second district of Warren County truly has an opportunity to put into office what sounds like a once-in-a-lifetime true public servant. Deborah Reul sounds like someone who truly cares about someone other than herself. Since she has said she only wants to be paid $1 per year makes me believe she isn’t one of those cry babies who said supervisors were not paid enough because sometime in the past he had spent more than 40 hours on the job. I only wish she was in the first district. What a great thought.

I cannot imagine anyone not wanting to give her an opportunity. I believe Ms. Reul has backed herself into a corner and would have no choice but to perform above the standards we have had to live with for as long as anyone can remember.

I know she sounds extreme, but it is in the opposite direction of what we have become accustomed to.
