James Earl Bure

James Earl Bure died Friday, June 3, 2011, at Houston Northwest Medical Center in Houston, Texas. He was 46.

A former resident of Vicksburg, Mr. Bure was a 1983 graduate of Warren Central High School. He received an associate degree from Hinds Community College. He was employed with the J.C. Penney Co. as a supervisor and was a member of the Vicksburg Church of Christ Holiness U.S.A.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kirby Bure Sr.; two brothers, Marvin Bure and Dwight Parson; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors include two sons, Marvin Jamal Bure of Vicksburg and Cedric Wilson of Houston; one daughter, Miesha Bure of Vicksburg; his mother and stepfather, Velma and George Parson of Vicksburg; three brothers, Karl Johnson of Albany, Ga., Kirby Bure Jr. of Hattiesburg and George K. Parson of Upper Marlboro, Md.; two sisters, Twinie Martin and Holly Parson, both of Houston; four grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
