A customer at Fred’s Dollar Store at 1514 Washington St. reported that her purse containing $574 was taken from a shopping cart while she was in the store.

Vicksburg police investigator Suzan Ebeling said the larceny was reported at 10 a.m.

TVs, computer hot in burglaries

Two residential burglaries were reported Tuesday, Vicksburg police investigator Suzan Ebeling said.

A report was taken in the 400 block of Hall Road at 1:36 p.m. Missing from the home was a 26-inch Sanyo flat-screen TV valued at $300, an Acer laptop computer valued at $550 and a desktop computer of an unknown brand valued at $500.

A burglary was also reported in the 100 block of Bellaire Drive at 5 p.m. Tuesday. A 32-inch Vizio flat-screen TV of an unknown value was reported missing from the home.
