Charlotte Ann Walker Byrd died Saturday, June 11, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. She was 76.

A native of Meridian, Miss., she had lived most of her life in Vicksburg, where she had been a homemaker and most recently a resident of Heritage House Retirement Center. She was of the Methodist faith.

Mrs. Byrd was preceded in death by her husband, Roger R. Byrd; her parents, Legette and Clara Bell Moore Walker of Collinsville, Miss; two brothers, Wallace Walker of Collinsville and Robert Walker Sr. of Panama City, Fla.; and one sister, Joyce Duett of Collinsville.

Survivors include three daughters, Rinda Haden and husband Mike, Gina McMorris and husband Jerry, and Robin Weeks and husband Tom, all of Vicksburg; five grandchildren, Heather Haden Ashley and husband Chris of Raymond, Michael Haden of New Orleans, Becky McMorris and April McMorris both of Vicksburg, and Kyle Frazier of Vicksburg; and two great-grandsons, Haden Ashley and Presley McMorris.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
