A Vicksburg woman accused in the stabbing death of her live-in boyfriend Monday night was released from the Warren County Jail Tuesday after posting $50,000 bond, said police Lt. Bobby Stewart.

Annette Scott, 44, 2910 Arcadia Place, was charged with murder in the death of Michael Terrence Smith at the couple’s home. Warren County Coroner Doug Huskey said Smith died from multiple stab wounds.

Scott was arrested at the scene after Smith was pronounced dead around 11:15 p.m.

Assistant Municipal Court Judge Allen Derivaux set bond during Scott’s initial hearing. It was not known whether she was provided with a court-appointed attorney.

Evidence in the case will be turned over to the district attorney to be reviewed by an upcoming session of the Warren County grand jury for a possible indictment.

Stewart said Tuesday the couple had no police history of domestic violence and that Scott did not appear to have any visible injuries.
