INVERNESS — Services for Billy Alexander Sorells will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with Willie Nettle officiating. Burial will follow at Mountro Grove Cemetery in Hermanville.

Mr. Sorells, formerly of Vicksburg, died Thursday, June 16, 2011, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. He was 52.

He was a member of St. John M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Alexander and Willie B. Sorells; and brothers, Cardell Sorells, Robert Lee Sorells and Willie Lee Sayles.

He is survived by four brothers, Roy L. Wade of Long Beach, Calif., Stonewall Sayles of Carlisle and Cable Lee Sorells and Eugene Sorells, both of Vicksburg; a stepbrother, David Sayles of Gary, Ind.; six sisters, Marie Sayles of Arizona, Christine Berkley and Lois Adams, both of Killeen, Texas, and Mary Palmer, Leola Sorells and Rosa Kelly, all of Vicksburg; two stepsisters, Gracie Sayles of Gary and Susie Sayles of St. Louis, Mo.; and cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
