United Way volunteer Angelia Rader, right, gives Willie Mae Eckles toothbrushes and other hygiene items Saturday at the United Way of West Central Mississippi. Eckles and more than 300 other flood victims received donations from the United Way during the national Day of Action, said Executive Director Barbara Tolliver. “We’ve had an overwhelming support of financial contributions of $17,776 plus other donations,” she said. Flood victims received household cleaning supplies, food, clothing, toiletries and bedding.
