A Vicksburg woman was in the Warren County Jail this morning after being arrested on two counts of uttering a forgery, jail records showed.

Shaniqua Brown, 27, 734 Locust St., was arrested Thursday at Grand Station Casino, 1310 Mulberry St., after being accused of passing a $1,143 check on Jan. 9 at WoodForest National Bank in Walmart. The check had been reported stolen from Creative Enterprises, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

The second charge stems from a check’s being stolen from the finance office at Grand Station Casino.

Free was arrested Tuesday and bonded out of jail. Brown was being held without bond this morning.
