Ethel Mae Curry

PORT GIBSON — Ethel Mae Curry died Sunday, June 19, 2011, at Claiborne County Senior Care in Port Gibson. She was 83.
Mrs. Curry was a longtime member of Second Baptist Church. She was employed at OK Cleaners for 29 years and at Our Mart for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Curry; her mother, Annie Ross; her father, Samuel Wilson; a brother, MacKentye Wilson; and three stepchildren, Walter Leroy Curry, James Curry and Frances Guiton.
She is survived by two sons, Carnell King and Gerald King, both of Port Gibson; two daughters, Marilyn Hamlin of Smyrna, Ga., and Dianne King of Columbus, Ohio; four sisters, Lula Archer of Port Gibson and Cynthia McCullough, Faye Davis and Sonya Lee, all of Jackson; three brothers, Glen Wilson of Port Gibson, Melkie Wilson of Jackson and Sam Wilson Jr. of Maryland; six stepchildren; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and friends and other relatives, including Carrie Ross of Port Gibson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Second Baptist Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Leon Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Thompson Memorial Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 today at Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
