Nick Verzwyvelt (spelled correctly), left, helps Warren County Road Department employee Allen Mason unload some items from his trailer at the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day Saturday at Warren Central High School. About 300 people had come through by noon to drop off their old car batteries, used motor oil and antifreeze, old appliances, used tires and more, said Kelly Worthy, Warren County Volunteer Fire Coordinator. In its eighth year, the community clean up event is seeing about the same numbers as last year, said Worthy. The program is paid for by a grant from the Department of Environmental Quality and organized by Warren County Board of Supervisors. (Katie Carter/The Vicksburg Post)
