Walter Davis

Walter “Danny” Davis died Friday, June 24, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. He was 57.
Born in Vicksburg, he was the son of the late Clyde Daniel Davis and Maggie Lee Manor Davis. Mr. Davis was a self-employed carpenter for 42 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and a member of the Coldwater Hunting Club in Attala County.
Mr. Davis was a devoted son and loving father, grandfather and brother. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by a daughter, Chastity Davis Beard (Drew) of Vicksburg; a son, Rodney Mullins of Tupelo; five grandchildren, Andrea Beard, Logan Beard, Hayden Beard, Brice Mullins and Blain Mullins; one sister, Peggy Lynn (Eddie) of Vicksburg; a nephew, Brian Davis (Liz); and several other relatives.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Janet Davis; and two brothers, Clyde Davis Jr. and Joe Davis.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Lonnie Mitchell officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the service.
Pallbearers will be Brian Davis, Drew Beard, Logan Beard, Andrea Beard, Billy Davis and George Doby.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clyde and Cindy Roberson, Opie Grenn, Burlow Crocker, Granny Williams, Betty Crocker and members of the Coldwater Hunting Club.
