The Mississippi Braves found an unusual way to pick up a series-clinching victory.

With the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth, Cory Harrilchak laid down a safety squeeze to plate the game-winning run in a 5-4 decision over the Jackson Generals on Thursday.

In the eighth inning, Ernesto Mejia walked and Willie Cabrera singled to put runners at the corners. Donell Linares loaded the bases after being hit by a pitc, and Harrilchak laid down a bunt to plate the go-ahead run.

The Generals got three runs back in the top of the fourth to make it a one-run game. Vinnie Catricala doubled and Johermyn Chavez walked. Both runners moved over on a groundout before scoring on a throwing error by Mejia to make it a 4-2 game.
