This is a proposal for the Congressional Reform Act of 2011.

1. Term Limits of 12 years — six 2-year House terms and two 6-year Senate terms.

2. No tenure/no pension

3. Congressmen collect a salary only while in office.

4. Congressmen participate in Social Security.

5. Congressmen can purchase their own retirement plans.

6. Congressmen can no longer vote itself a pay raise.

7. Congressmen participate in the same health care as American people.

8. All contracts with past and present congressmen are void effective Jan. 1, 2012.

Serving Congress is an honor, not a career. Please, let’s fix Congress.
