HATTIESBURG — Roy H. Woody Jr. died Sunday, July 10, 2011, at Bedford Care Center. He was 90.

Mr. Woody was born in Kentucky. He was a former resident of Vicksburg for 40 years before moving to Hattiesburg five years ago. He was a supervisor of computer services at Vanderbilt University and Hinds General Hospital. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal while in the Navy. He was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include his son, Michael Woody of Hattiesburg.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.
