Two Vicksburg men were arrested and charged with embezzlement Wednesday, Vicksburg police Sgt. Sandra Williams said.
Roderick Burden, 37, 212 Rhodes Drive, was arrested at 2925 Highland Ave., and Darrell Rhodes, 38, 5638 Gibson Road, was arrested at the police station, both around 11 a.m., Williams said.
Burden and Rhodes were employees of Southern Beverage Company on U.S. 61 North and are charged with stealing 47 cases and six pallets of beer, with a total value of $896, Williams said.
The two were seen loading the beer from a company truck into a residence by a fellow employee, and that person called the authorities, Williams said.
After a joint investigation by Vicksburg police and Warren County deputies, most of the beer was recovered.
Burden and Rhodes were both released on $15,000 bonds Wednesday.
