The engagement of Gwendolyn Corrothers to D’Antonio C. Royal, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 3 p.m. Aug. 13, 2011, at St. Mary’s Center. A reception will follow.

Miss Corrothers is the daughter of the late Pinky Jean Benard of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Thelma Corrothers and the late Lester J. Corrothers of Vicksburg.

Mr. Royal is the son of Andrea Royal of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Gloria Jean Rankin of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Vicksburg High School, where she was a member of ROTC, History Club and Environmental Club.

She attended Hinds Community College.

Miss Corrothers is a licensed practical nurse.

The prospective groom is a 1999 graduate of Warren Central High School. He attended Hinds Community College.

Mr. Royal is a certified electrician.
