Allen Breland Yelverton Jr.

ROLLING FORK — Allen Breland Yelverton Jr. died Sunday, July 31, 2011, at his home in Rolling Fork. He was 55.
A native of Hollandale, Mr. Yelverton had lived in Rolling Fork most of his life. He retired after 30 years from the Mississippi Forestry Commission. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Rolling Fork.
He was preceded in death by his father, Allen “B Boy” Yelverton Sr.; his mother, Letha Bell Yelverton; and two brothers, Ronnie Yelverton and Kenney Yelverton.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Grant Yelverton of Rolling Fork; one son, Allen Breland Yelverton III of Cleveland; one daughter, Abby Gail McPhail of Tallula, Miss.; two sisters, Janie Yelverton of Belzoni and Beverly Woods of Delta City; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Rolling Fork with the Rev. Millard L. Caulder officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home of Rolling Fork. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at the family home, 122 Yelverton Road in Rolling Fork.
Pallbearers will be Bill Newsom, Jimmy Walker, Phillip Hester, Odell Jones, Russell Walker, Derrick Casey, Gene Boykin and Marty Long.
Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Williams, Larry McMann, Waye Windham, David Sellars, Willard Miller, Elton Adams, Charlie Bridges, Thad Virden, Chuck Henderson and Deanie Miller.
