William H. Crawford II

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. — William H. “Pat” Crawford II died Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. He was 47.

Born in Ruleville, he was a graduate of the Sharkey-Issaquena Academy in Rolling Fork. He later attended Mississippi Delta College and Mississippi State University. He was a professional truck driver, a veteran of the Air Force and a member of Goodman Memorial Methodist Church in Cary.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dewitt and Lillian Jones of Ruleville; and his paternal grandparents, William H. Sr. and Fannie Sanders Crawford of Greenwood.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Eloise Lewis Crawford of Sevierville, Tenn.; a daughter, Sarah Courtney Crawford of Sevierville; a son, William H. “Trey” Crawford III of Sevierville; his parents, William H. Jr. and Joy Jones Crawford of Cary; a brother, John Dewitt Crawford and wife Diane of Hollandale; his uncle, Dewitt L. Jones and wife Barbara of Meridian; two nephews, J.C. Crawford and Aden Crawford, both of Hollandale; and a niece, Amanda Terry of Meridian.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, Aug. 3, 2011, in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork with the Rev. Beth Miller officiating. Visitation will be 1 p.m. today until the hour of the service. Interment will follow at the Goodman Memorial Cemetery in Cary.

Pallbearers will be Shay Sherrill, Travis Tharp, Gomer Tharp, J.C. Crawford, Keith Bevill and Dewitt L. Jones.
