Bennett, Bell are wed June 18 in Southaven

Gregory Michael Bennett and Allison Marie Bell were married at 2:30 p.m. June 18, 2011, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Southaven. The Rev. Robert Tucker officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Nancy Bell of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Margaret and William Boothby of Monmouth, Ill., and the late Delma and Horace Bell of Danville, Iowa.

The groom is the son of Laverne and Steve Roberts of Whittier, N.C., and the late Philip Bennett. He is the grandson of Laverne and William Bennett of Franklin, N.C., and June Carter and the late Judson Carter of Alexandria, Va.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were lapis and silver. Music was presented by Margaret Campbell, organist/pianist, and Riley Harper, soloist.

Maid of honor was Brooke Killen of Memphis, Tenn. Matron of honor was Jill Allen of Burlington, Iowa. Bridesmaids were Haley Bell of Vicksburg; Rebecca Earp of Southaven; Shauna VanBemmel of Ramona, Calif.; Megan McMann of Chico, Calif.; and Caroline Warner of Towson, Md.

Nick Patronis of Plainfield, Ill., served as best man. Groomsmen were Matthew Bell of Vicksburg; Steve Roberts of Whittier; William Carter of Alexandria; Matthew Livingston of Durham, N.C.; and Scott Hoover of Plano, Texas.

Flower girls were Hayden Bell of Vicksburg and Charolette Treat of Chula Vista, Calif. Ring bearer was Griffin Treat of Chula Vista.

Special wedding assistant was Kathy Foster Ashley.

The bride’s parents hosted a reception at First Choice Catering Banquet Hall in Horn Lake.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled Ocho Rios, Jamaica. They will make their home in Southaven.

The bride is a special education teacher for Shelby County Schools in Memphis. The groom is a pilot for Mesaba Airlines, a Delta connection carrier based in Memphis.
