St. Mary’s Episcopal Church at Bolton will mark the Feast of the Assumption of Mary on Sunday with musical performances of “Ave Maria,” a prayer for the intercession of Mary, the mother of Jesus.

The Feast of the Assumption of Mary occurs each August.

Performers will be Anna McDonald, an award-winning soprano and Millsaps College graduate, and Don Messer, also a Millsaps grad and the organist and choirmaster at St. James Episcopal Church in Jackson.

The Holy Eucharist will be celebrated by the Very Rev. Billie Abraham, rector of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Bovina.
