A Vicksburg woman was in the Warren County Jail today after she attempted to shoot her live-in boyfriend Monday, police Sgt. Sandra Williams said.

Linda Sheppard, 40, 2628 Roosevelt Ave., was charged with attempted domestic aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied dwelling, Williams said.

Sheppard was arrested at her home at 11:14 p.m. and is accused of firing a weapon at her boyfriend as he was attempting to leave the residence after a domestic dispute, the sergeant said. The bullet traveled into an occupied home next door, said Williams.
