Warren Central Junior High students evacuate the Baldwin Ferry Road school this morning after the Vicksburg Gas Department struck a nearby gas line while working to replace an old meter. “The minute we hit it, we notified the principal to get the kids out of the school,” said James Beamon, gas department superintendent. “It was about 15 minutes of inconvenience. The kids liked it.” Gas was cut off, and the students were returned to their classrooms.
