EDWARDS — Mary Mixon Noel died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 82.

Mrs. Noel received her education in the Hinds County school system, graduating from Bonner Campbell College in Edwards. She retired from Oakley Training School after serving 30 years as a counselor’s assistant. She was a member of Morning Star M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Noel.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Morning Star M.B. Church in Edwards. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 7 today with the family present from 6 until 7 tonight at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.
