A Vicksburg man injured in a car wreck May 25 was arrested by police Monday for being under the influence at the time, Sgt. Sandra Williams said today.

Floyd Sanders, 49, 313 Blake Drive, had spent an unknown amount of time in the hospital following the wreck at Halls Ferry Road and Interstate 20, but a warrant had been issued for his arrest on third offense DUI charges, said Williams. It was not known if the DUI charge was due to drugs or alcohol.

Police served the warrant at about 6:30 p.m. at his residence, Williams said.

Sanders was being held without bond in the Issaquena County Jail pending his initial hearing Wednesday.
