Services for Constance Benita Baldwin will be at noon Saturday at Vicksburg City Auditorium with the Elder Billy Bennett Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Private visitation will be Friday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Ms. Baldwin died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 37.

She was a Spanish teacher at Warren Central High School and was a member of St. Luke Community Baptist Church. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.

She had worked as a guidance counselor and lead teacher for the Simpson County School District, a Spanish teacher for the Natchez Adams School District, director of curriculum and professional development for the South Delta School District, a guidance counselor and Spanish teacher for the Jackson Public School District and as an adjunct professor for Strayer University.

She was a graduate of Warren Central High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English education from Jackson State University, a master’s degree in English from Jackson State University and educational specialist degrees in guidance counseling/psychology and education leadership, both from Mississippi College.

Ms. Baldwin was a member of the Association of Curriculum, Mississippi Counseling Association, Mississippi State ACT Organization, Mississippi Association of Educators, Mississippi Professional Educators and Mississippi Association of School Administrators.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Baldwin; her paternal grandparents, Elijah and Ethel Baldwin; and her maternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Anderson.

She is survived by her mother, Vivian A. Baldwin of Vicksburg; two brothers, Edward Baldwin of Mobile, Ala., and Gary Baldwin of Vicksburg; a sister, Stephanie Baldwin of Vicksburg; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, including Ethel Dixon of Clinton.
