PORT GIBSON — Solomon Wilson died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at his home in Port Gibson. He was 58.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Julia Hunt Wilson; and a brother, Karl Wilson.

He is survived by his wife, Hong Ly Wilson of Port Gibson; two sons, Solomon Wilson Jr. of Port Gibson and Joseph Wilson of Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Sonia Wilson of Atlanta and Teresa Wilson of Port Gibson; five brothers, Alfred Wilson Jr. of Chicago and Johnnie E. Wilson, Eddie Wilson, Larry Wilson and Raymond Wilson, all of Port Gibson; three sisters, Barbara Johnson of Port Gibson, Agnes Wilson of Washington, D.C., and Catherine Neil of Maryland; and aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at Magnolia M.B. Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Hugh Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Wilson Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Saturday at Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson and Sunday at the church from 9 a.m. until the service.
