Flashes still looking for first win

The St. Aloysius fieldhouse has a lot of features. A state-of-the-art weight room. Spacious coaches’ offices. A locker room close to the playing surface of Balzli Field.
But there is no panic button. Even in the midst of an 0-3 start, the Flashes aren’t junking their optimism with undefeated Salem coming to town tonight.
The young Flashes are off to their worst start since 2004 and that team finished 3-8.
Despite last week’s 14-9 loss to Hinds AHS, there were signs that the doldrums could be ending and a breeze could swell St. Al’s sails.
Carlton Campbell was effective, rushing for 141 yards and a touchdown, but the Flashes are still looking for an offensive identity with two touchdowns in three games. With the exception of a few big plays, the St. Al defense played solidly.
