Rheumatologist joins River Region

Dr. Dedri Ivory has joined River Region as a rheumatologist, a first for the medical center, a news release said.

Ivory will treat patients with arthritis, osteoporosis, gout and other diseases that cause muscle, bone and joint pain.

Ivory received in 2001 a bachelor’s degree in microbiology and cell science from the University of Florida, and in 2006 a medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies.

From 2006 to 2009, she was enrolled in an internship and residency at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio. Before coming to Vicksburg, she completed a two-year rheumatology fellowship at the University of Missouri.

Ivory practices at The Street Clinic, a facility operated by River Region at 104 McAuley Drive.
