An attempted burglary was reported today at a Vicksburg restaurant, said police Sgt. Beverly Prentiss.

An alarm at Martin’s at Midtown, 1101 Belmont St., sounded at 1:16 a.m., Prentiss said. Responding, officers found an air conditioner partially removed from a window, Prentiss said, but nothing missing from inside the restaurant.

The air conditioner was not damaged, she said.
