Meeting Tuesday, the City of Vicksburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen:

• Authorized Mayor Paul Winfield to execute a deed giving three pieces of city property on South Frontage Road to the Mississippi Department of Transportation.

City attorney Lee David Thames Jr. said the property involves three small pieces of land on the site of a city water tower at South Frontage Road and Porters Chapel Road. He said MDOT is acquiring right of way for the proposed extension of South Frontage Road to the Outlets at Vicksburg. He said the state will pay the city $30,200 for the three tracts.

He said the property transfer will not affect the city’s access to the water tank.

• Approved two payments: a $5,000 payment to Triumph Ministries Inc., and $5,217 to the Vicksburg Tallulah Regional Airport.

• Discussed in executive session a disciplinary matter involving a city firefighter.
