Eagles aim for a rebound against tough Park Place

Porters Chapel is reeling for two reasons.

One, the Eagles (3-1, 0-1) lost a District 4-A game to Newton Academy. Secondly, the injury bug hit PCA with another whack, as Peter Harris went down with a neck stinger and had to be taken to a hospital in Meridian.

The good news, like the bad news, is two fold. The first is that Park Place is in its first year playing 11-man football and the second is that Harris will be back in the Eagles’ lineup.

But the Eagles will still be without five players out of 21 on the roster. PCA’s depth chart is written in pencil, not ink, with the constant spate of injuries and the bad news is greeted with a gritty resignation in the PCA locker room.
