A fire at Pecan Ridge Apartments Tuesday afternoon damaged one residence, said Kelly Worthy, Warren County volunteer fire department coordinator.

The blaze broke out at 5 p.m. in the kitchen of the apartment at 2501 Culkin Road, Worthy said. The occupants were not home and investigators were not sure how it started, he said.

No one was injured, but three people who live in the home were displaced, he said. Two other apartments had some water damage but not enough to displace residents, Worthy added.

Units from the Culkin, Bovina and Fisher Ferry volunteer fire departments responded and were on scene about 90 minutes, said Worthy.
