Services for Mary Ellen Reed will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of Christ Holiness, U.S.A., with Elder Michael Pauline officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at Dillion-Chisley Funeral Home from 2 until 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.

Mrs. Reed died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at her home. She was 70.

She retired from Mississippi Action for Progress, Bovina Head Start. She was a member of Church of Christ Holiness, U.S.A.

Survivors include her husband, Archie “Bruce” Reed of Vicksburg; three sons, Tim Peaches of Charlotte, N.C., Paul Reed of Gonzales, Texas, and Robert Reed of Vicksburg; one daughter, Terri Nunley of Arlington, Texas; two brothers, Marion Peaches of Vicksburg and Joe Willie Peaches of Sugar Grove, Ill.; two sisters, Rosie L. Meeks of Vicksburg and Elois Price of Chicago; a number of grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
