PORT GIBSON — George Sayles died Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at his home. He was 43.

Mr. Sayles is survived by his wife, Bertha Sayles of Pattison; his parents, John and Nora Sayles of Pattison; one daughter, Brandilyn Sayles of Pattison; two brothers, John Claiborne of Phoenix, Ark., and Daniel Claiborne of Pattison; a sister, Ida F. Claiborne of Vicksburg; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Philadelphia Baptist Church in Pattison with the Rev. Burnell Newsome officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 today at Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson and Saturday at the church from 1 p.m. until the service.
