PORT GIBSON ­— Joyce Robinson Summers died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. She was 58.

Mrs. Summers was a member of Ashland M.B. Church where she held a number of offices. She taught social studies in the Claiborne County School District for 21 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Moses Summers; her parents, Louis and Clara Davis Robinson; and her twin brother, Jerry Robinson.

Survivors include her daughter, Dr. Gloria Wilson Turnipseed of Colorado Springs, Co.; a brother, Edward Robinson of Milwaukee; three sisters, Jessie White and Clara Robinson, both, of Milwaukee and Georgia Morrow of Vicksburg; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Ashland M.B. Church with the Rev. Richard Cruel officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Saturday at Thompson Funeral Home and Sunday at the church from noon until the service.
