Leo Dave Mayerhoff Jr. died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, in Freeport, Texas. He was 63.

Mr. Mayerhoff was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg and was a welder. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War. He attended Crawford Street United Methodist Church when he was a child.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Dave Mayerhoff Sr.; and his mother, Mabel Grant Mayerhoff.

Survivors include his daughter, Amanda Nowell and husband, Tony, of Vicksburg; and a granddaughter, Harley-Ann Elizabeth Nowell of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Brumfield officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 9 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Billy Lynn, Danny Hill, Chris Lynn, Jimmy Nevels, Mike Long and Kevin Garner.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Carlisle, Joe Mc-Broom, Carl Koestler, Dave Waddell, Paul Waddell, Richard Lane, Butch Spivey, David Lyons, Clyde Robertson, Chuck Barfield, George Ross and Steve Muirhead.
