MAIS District 3-AA: Riverdale at Central Hinds

Records: Riverdale (3-4, 1-0); Central Hinds (2-5, 0-0)

Central Hinds: The Cougars won just their second game last week, 41-7 against Sylva-Bay, but are still optimistic about their playoff chances. They’re the only team in District 3-AA that hasn’t played a league game yet, and control their own destiny. Three of Central Hinds’ last four games are within the district, and it can advance to the postseason by winning two of them.

Riverdale: Riverdale won its only district game to date, against Prairie View, but that was back on Aug. 26. Since then, the Rebels have endured an uneven season in which they’ve either won big (a 44-12 victory over Ben’s Ford) or been manhandled (outscored 124-44 in three losses).
