An illness has postponed singer-songwriter Bryan Adams’ tour stop in Vicksburg to Oct. 30, according to his publicist and the tour’s promoter.
The all-acoustic show at Vicksburg Auditorium, originally set for tonight, was one of six concert dates this month, publicist Marlene Palmer said. A show in Fort Smith, Ark., keeps its spot in the rotation before Vicksburg, on Oct. 29. Shows in Tuscaloosa, Baton Rouge, Beaumont and Dallas planned this month have been moved to late January, according to Ticketmaster.com.
All previously purchased tickets will be honored, a release from Memphis-based Beaver Productions said. The singer’s website termed the condition a “croaky throat.”
Tickets available at Ticketmaster.com are listed at $35, $50 and $75, before service fees.
The Canadian-born Adams, 51, has been nominated for 15 Grammys in his career, dating to his self-titled debut album in 1980. His 1991 single “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You” from the movie “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves” won for best single from a movie.
Adams’ mix of solo and acoustic shows kicked off after the release of his 2010 acoustic live album, “Bare Bones.”
