Joseph Dudley Acuff died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at his home. He was 56.

Mr. Acuff was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg and an outdoorsman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Dudley Acuff and Margrette Kuhn Acuff; a son, Floyd Denson Acuff; and a sister, Patricia A. Nevels.

Survivors include four sons, Chris Acuff, Joseph James Acuff, Joseph Dudley Acuff Jr. and Raymond Earl Acuff, all of Vicksburg; a brother, James V. Acuff of Vicksburg; two sisters, Mettie Joyce Hollis of Carthage, and Annie Marie Montgomery of Vicksburg; and 17 grandchildren.

Visitation will be at noon Monday at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris Acuff, Joe Acuff, Vaughn Hollis, Cliff Montgomery, Shane Acuff and David Acuff.
