Mr. Lang, Miss Norwood marry

James Clifton Lang and Deborah Ellen Elizabeth Norwood were married at 3 p.m. Aug. 13, 2011, at Solid Rock Church. The Rev. Bill Talbert officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Tammie Norwood of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Dora Norwood of Mobile, Ala., and the late Luk Thomas Norwood Sr. of Vicksburg, the late Brenda Ann McGee of Springtown, Texas, and Seldon Dean “Buddy” Smeltzer of Paris, Texas. She is the great-granddaughter of Mary Martha Geraldine Smeltzer of Corsicana, Texas.
The groom is the son of Teresa Lang of Brandon and the late James Dickie Lang. He is the grandson of Faye Lang of Madison and the late Paul Lang Sr. and Ethel Lois Hagerty of Brandon.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were malibu blue, black and white.
Maid of honor was Kelsey Mitchell of Vicksburg. Man of honor was Mark Norwood, brother of the bride, of Vicksburg.
Bridesmaids were Leslie Sanders and Samantha Norwood, both of Vicksburg; and Kelley Johnson, sister of the groom, of Pearl.
The groom’s uncle, George Styron of Brandon, served as best man. Groomsmen were Daniel Norwood and Mark Norwood, brothers of the bride, of Vicksburg; and Robert Amos of Madison.
Special wedding assistant was Brandy Wilson of Delhi, La.
A reception followed in the fellowship hall of the church. Hostesses were Loretta Powell, Kerri Brown, Maggie Boone and Chrissy Hood, all of Vicksburg.
For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Gulf Shores, Ala., and Destin, Fla. They will make their home in Vicksburg.
The bride is employed at L’eggs/Hanes/Bali/Playtex, and the groom is employed at Kroger.
