Services for Tyrone Carter will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Brookhaven Cemetery in Flowers. Visitation will be from 1 until 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Carter died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at his home. He was 59.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Lindsay; and an aunt who raised him, Lucy Warner.

Survivors include his wife, Cassandra Denise Carter of Vicksburg; three sons, Jerome Carter, Tyrone Carter Jr. and Lamar Carter, all of Vicksburg; two daughters, Charlotte Carter of Vicksburg and Michelle Haggan of Jackson; his father, Henry Warner of Vicksburg; a stepson, Jason Prophet of Gulfport; a stepdaughter, Melody Paschal of Fort Pierce, Fla.; 18 brothers, Willie Carter, Mason Carter, Roger Lindsey, Arthur James Lindsey, Donald Lindsey and Ronald Lindsey, all of Champaign, Ill., Saul Warner of Edwards, Anderson Warner of Baton Rouge, Andrew Lindsey of Charleston, Ill., Percy Carter of Houston, Texas, Roosevelt Jackson of Hopkinsville, Ky., and Charles Carter, Bruce Carter, Victor Carter, Vernon Carter, David Carter, Daniel Carter and Adam Carter, all of Gary, Ind.; 11 sisters, Minnie Mann, Esther Warner, Rosie Mary Warner, Daisy Wright and Delia Hall, all of Vicksburg, Lucy Gaskew and Cathleen Washington, both of Edwards, Beatrice Lusk and Lucille Buchanan, both of Champaign, Jackie Carter of Gary and Agnes Shivers of McLeod, Wis.; 21 grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
