Gibson Memorial United Methodist Church will host its 41st annual fall bazaar and spaghetti dinner Saturday. Sponsored by the United Methodist Women, the bazaar will run from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and will include bake sale items, canned goods and crafts.

“Some of the bake sale items we have every year are cakes made by Hallie Jo Ragsdale and Berta Kolb,” said church member Ann Morgan.

The two, she said, make coconut, chocolate and rum cakes for the event.

“Mary Agnes Westbrook makes pickles, jellies, pies— and usually brings a couple of Italian cream cakes,” Morgan said.

Nancy Ballard, who will also help with Saturday’s fundraiser, paid Morgan a compliment: “The homemade spices Ann makes are wonderful.”

The bazaar will feature 74 to 100 items, Morgan said.
