LAKE CHARLES, La. — Services for Hester Lee Williams, formerly of Vicksburg, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Traveler’s Rest Christian Church with the Rev. Thomas Benard officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 6 p.m. Friday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Williams died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, in Lake Charles. She was 80.

She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelius Williams Sr.; her parents, Sam Sr. and Hester Lee Jackson; a daughter, Shelia Denise Williams; two brothers, Johnnie Jackson and Sam Jackson Jr.; and a sister, Sophie Smith.

She is survived by five sons, Carl Williams of Portland, Ore., Zachary Williams of Canton and Allen Kline, Cornelius Williams Jr. and Walter Johnson, all of Vicksburg; three daughters, Valerie Jackson of Lake Charles, Angela Pack of Portland and Rose Wells of Omaha, Neb.; a brother, Bennie Jackson; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, including Johnnie Williams of Canton, Milton Jackson Sr. of Lake Charles and Johnny Pack of Portland.
