LORMAN — Prince Coleman died Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. He was 72.
Mr. Coleman was a member of Mount Zion Church. He was a professional motorcycle rider and was self-employed as a heavy-equipment operator for many years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Prince B. Coleman Sr.; a brother, Herman Coleman; a sister, Jeanette Reed; a son, Jerry E. Burks Sr.; and a granddaughter, Angela Lynn Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Fidelias “Fido” Coleman of Lorman; his mother, Mary M. Coleman of Dayton, Ohio; two daughters, Deborah Coleman Spencer of Port Gibson and D’Andra Coleman Tyson of Lorman; five sons, Ronald Coleman Sr. of D’Iberville, Miss., Roger Smith of West Alexander, Ohio, Michael Coleman of Port Gibson, Reginald Coleman Sr. of Lorman and Andrew McCalpin of Jackson; a sister, Leontine Colter of Dayton; 20 grandchildren; 13-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, including Willie Mae McClure and Sandra Delemos, both of Dayton.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Zion M.B. Church in the Westside community with the Rev. Hugh Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Carbondale Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 1 until 5 at Thompson Funeral Home and Friday at the church from 1 p.m. until the service.
